Sofia Sanz carried out her PhD research at the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Frederiksen, and obtained her doctoral degree in Physics from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) with a Cum Laude mention in 2022. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Daniel Sánchez-Portal at CSIC-CFM in San Sebastian (Spain), where she holds a "Juan de la Cierva" postdoctoral fellowship. Her theoretical research focuses on quantum magnetism and electronic transport in low-dimensional carbon-based systems.
