FUNLAYERS co-hosts Successful Career Fair & Skills Workshop at INL

The INL ESRA Career Fair and Skills Workshop, held on 10 and 17 September 2025 at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), was a resounding success. Co-organised together with the Early-Stage Researchers Association (ESRA) at INL, the two-part event aimed to empower early-stage researchers in shaping their future careers.

The programme opened with the workshop “Level Up Yourself: Skills, CV & LinkedIn”, helping participants strengthen their professional profiles.

A week later, the Career Fair welcomed companies, research organisations, and entrepreneurs to INL’s campus for a day of networking, presentations, and a roundtable discussion on “Bridging Worlds – Career Paths for Innovators.”

The event drew wide participation and received highly positive feedback, proving to be an invaluable platform for connecting early-stage researchers with opportunities beyond academia.

For FUNLAYERS, supporting such initiatives is part of its broader mission: a twinning project designed to propel INL’s research excellence in the field of layered materials. By promoting career development, networking, and skill-building, FUNLAYERS contributes to strengthening INL’s scientific community and fostering a new generation of talented researchers who will drive future innovations in layered materials.
